Kent City is a village in Kent County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,057 according to the 2010 census.The village was named for New York jurist and legal scholar, James Kent, as was Kent County.Kent City is home to the Kent City High School Eagles. The football team won the CSAA Silver division in 2016 and 2017, and is coached by the legendary Bill Crane.
